Dinckley Court

Welcome to Dinckley Court

Located in 8 acres on the banks of the River Thames, the property lies in one of the most picturesque areas of South Oxfordshire, within the small hamlet of Burcot-on-Thames, close to the historic towns of Oxford and Abingdon, with Dorchester-on-Thames less than a mile away.

Comprising of a spacious main house and attached wing with its own separate entrance, this exceptional house makes a perfect retreat for large parties or several families, up to 18, holidaying together and is excellently furnished.

The main reception room has wooden floors and a wood burning stove as well as Wi-Fi, Sky TV, DVD and I Pod docking stations in both kitchen and living room areas, perfect for relaxing get-togethers.

There is also a study area on a galleried floor. All bedrooms have TV, six of which are en-suite and two sharing private bathroom. The conservatory dining area offers enough space for all guests to dine together, with views over the large garden. Doors open onto a patio barbecue area with further outside tables and seating within the gardens of Dinckley Court. Extensive grounds lead down to the River Thames, overlooking open farmland beyond.

Dinckley Court provides boat mooring with local boat hire also available; fishing is also enjoyed when in season, or at Orchid Lakes with specialist carp coarse fishing lakes ½ mile away.

Local attractions include a Salter’s Steamer Boat which can be caught from Oxford and back to Days Lock and a walk taken back to Dinckley Court, or Nuneham Courtney’s arboretum can be visited - full of amazing trees, plants and beautiful peacocks. Restaurants within 10 miles for food lovers include Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons , the famous Crazy Bear bar and restaurant, The Mole Inn (excellent traditional pub food), and the Chequers pub, 400 yards away, serving great British food.

From July to the end of August a marquee is set up in the garden, close to the house with seating and tables, perfect for Al-fresco dining. All large supermarkets deliver supplies to Dinckley Court and for special occasions we can recommend bespoke catering services.
